St. Joseph’s College for Women was conceived with the view to use education as a tool to bring about social development. Now it stands tall in the heartland of Alappuzha with the legacy of having empowered young women for the past 68 years. From 142 students and 14 teachers during its inception in 1954, to 1275 students in 10 graduate and 4 post-graduate programmes, 66 teaching staff including permanent faculty and guest faculty, and 23 non-teaching staff.Environment initiatives and climate change mitigation programs are organized by the club.
