MES mampad College was established in 1965. It is an Autonomous College, accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade. Bhoomithrasena Club with the assistance of DoECC started functioning in this college in 2014.

Plastic cleaning at Kurishumala, one of the important eco-tourism place in Nilambur in association with Department of Forest and wildlife.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of Elephants in the Forest ecosystem and to educate participants on Elephants conservation and mitigative measures for man–elephant conflicts.
