MCAS is an academic approach aimed to achieve impeccable curricular and co-curricular credentials by fostering a creative teaching-learning atmosphere founded on intellectual curiosity and emotional maturity. The Club has been functional for more than 8 years in the college and is actively involved in resolving environmental issues and creating awareness for the upcoming generations.

Activities

  • Skill Development: To equip students with the basic skills and techniques required for coconut shell carving, including designing, shaping, carving, and finishing. Creativity and Innovation: To foster creativity by encouraging students to design and create unique, aesthetically pleasing, and functional coconut shell items.
  • Encourage Self-Expression and Confidence: Give participants an opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity, boosting self-confidence and breaking stereotypes related to gender norms. Promote Mental Health and Well-being: Create a fun and supportive event that helps reduce stress, build camaraderie, and raise awareness about men’s mental health and wellness.
  • Address Food Insecurity and Hunger: Provide a nutritious breakfast meal for the elderly residents, aligning with the World Food Day mission of combating hunger and promoting food access for all. Show Care and Solidarity: Demonstrate compassion and solidarity with the elderly community by making them feel valued, supported, and cared for through this meaningful initiative.
  • Educate on the Ozone Layer's Importance: Teach young students about the ozone layer, its protective role, and why it is essential for life on Earth. Raise Awareness of Ozone Depletion: Explain what ozone depletion is, the causes behind it (e.g., CFCs and pollutants), and its harmful effects, such as increased UV radiation.
  • Celebrate the Versatility of Coconut: Highlight the cultural, culinary, and economic importance of coconut in diverse cuisines and traditions through a food festival showcasing its multiple uses. Encourage Culinary Innovation: Inspire chefs, students, and participants to experiment and create innovative dishes, drinks, and desserts using coconut as the main ingredient.
