Activities
- To raise awareness about environmental issues and promote actions that support sustainability, conservation, and environmental protection. It aims to inspire individuals, communities, and organizations to take collective steps toward a healthier planet by focusing on issues like pollution, climate change, deforestation, and biodiversity loss.
- To engage participants, particularly students or community members, in identifying, reporting, and raising awareness about pollution in their surroundings. The contest encourages individuals to observe pollution-related issues in their community, document them effectively, and present solutions or raise awareness through creative and informative reports.
- To assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the current waste management systems in Tiruvalla municipality 8 and 14 wards. This includes evaluating waste segregation, recycling processes, and overall facility performance to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- To educate participants about the importance of forests in maintaining biodiversity, regulating the climate, conserving water resources, and providing livelihoods.
To provide insights into how reserve forests are managed and protected, including the role of government bodies, environmental organizations, and local communities.
To promote the concept of responsible tourism, where the natural environment is respected, and conservation efforts are supported.
To provide participants with knowledge and resources that empower them to contribute to local and global conservation efforts.
