Activities
- The aim of the "Eco Bag Design Lab" is to promote sustainable practices through eco-friendly paper bag production. It also seeks to equip students with practical skills and encourage income generation under the ‘earn while learn’ concept.
- The primary objectives of the programme “Fungal Foraging for Beginners” were to promote hands-on learning in Mycology, document the fungal diversity within the college campus, and enhance student awareness of the ecological roles of fungi such as nutrient cycling, decomposition, and plant-fungal symbiosis.
- The event aimed to celebrate World Environment Day by fostering environmental awareness and sustainability among students. It also marked the inauguration of the Bhoomithrasena Club's activities for the academic year 2024-2025.
A statewide campaign program of Friends of Nature for 2024-2025 was launched to promote ecological responsibility. Additionally, the event encouraged student participation in conservation efforts through awareness sessions and symbolic activities.
The celebration included the ceremonial planting of a jackfruit tree to emphasize afforestation and green cover enhancement. A green pledge was taken by all participants to reinforce their commitment to environmental protection.
