PARTICIPATION IN ASIAN WATER BIRD CENSUS at CHRISTIAN COLLEGE, CHENGANNUR
As part of Asian Waterbird Census 2024, members of the Bhoomithrasena Club and FIC Dr. Abhilash R., joined the Dept. of Forests and Wildlife, Govt. of Kerala officials and members of Pathanamthitta Birders at Karingali Puncha near Pandalam and carried out the bird count. The data obtained was uploaded to E.Bird. It is a citizen-science programme supporting conservation and management of wetlands and waterbirds worldwide. AWC is part of the global International Waterbird Census (IWC) coordinated by Wetlands International.
