The Bhoomitrasena Club of Meenakshi Vilasom Govt HSS Peroor successfully conducted a Plastic Elimination Campaign as part of its mission to promote environmental conservation and reduce plastic pollution.

The program began with a seminar on the harmful effects of plastic, led by Smt Manju HSST Botany who highlighted the environmental hazards caused by plastic waste and emphasized the importance of switching to eco-friendly alternatives. The session provided valuable insights and inspired students to actively participate in reducing plastic usage.

Following the seminar, students conducted an awareness drive by distributing pamphlets to the public, educating them about the dangers of plastic and promoting sustainable alternatives.

To reinforce the message, the Bhoomitrasena Club installed waste bins on campus to promote proper waste disposal and segregation.

In collaboration with Haritha Karma Sena members, students visited nearby houses to collect plastic waste. This community-based initiative helped remove plastic waste from the area while spreading the message of responsible waste management.

The program was inaugurated by Principal Smt. Renuka V R, with the presence of PTA President Sri Midhilaj, MPTA President Smt. Jyothi, and Higher Secondary English Teacher Sri Babitha Babu, who actively participated and supported the initiative.

The Bhoomitrasena Club expresses heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Asha Rani, the students, teachers, staff, and Haritha Karma Sena members for their dedication and teamwork in making this campaign a meaningful and impactful success. 🌿💚
