ENVIROCONNECT at Malabar College of Advanced Studies, Vengara


An inspiring orientation class was conducted by Mr. Hamid Ali, a teacher, traveller, Green Cadet Corps District Coordinator, and President of the Good Earth Organization. The session offered profound insights into environmental sustainability, cultural understanding, and living in harmony with nature.

Mr. Hamid Ali began by discussing various natural calamities and the challenges faced by communities, drawing attention to a village in Rajasthan struggling with water scarcity. He shared his experiences of building wells to provide water and improve the lives of the villagers, emphasizing the importance of sustainable solutions to environmental issues. He also spoke about the wonders of star gazing, understanding the night sky, and the joy of traveling the world. Through his travels, he has not only explored diverse cultures but also learned to create meaningful memories and live in the moment.

The session concluded with a call to action, encouraging students to plant Venga trees on campus to promote eco-friendliness and create a greener environment. The class left students inspired to take active steps toward environmental conservation and to embrace a deeper connection with nature.
