World Environment Day celebration and Eco Education Year 24-25 Campaign Inauguration at Korambayil Ahamed Haji Memorial Unity Women's College, Manjeri

The Bhoomithrasena Club, KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri in association with Friends of Nature NGO, Malappuram, organized World Environment Day celebration on 5th June 2024 at the college campus. The event commenced with the inauguration of the Bhoomithrasena Club's activities for the academic year 2024-2025 by Mr. Badusha S, Secretary of Friends of Nature, who also conducted an environmental awareness session for the students. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur inaugurated the statewide campaign program of Friends of Nature for the academic year 2024-2025. College Manager Er. O. Abdul Ali and Dr. Usman A., HOD, Dept. of Botany graced the occasion with a felicitating address, acknowledging the collaborative efforts of Bhoomithrasena Club, Department of Botany, and Friends of Nature in fostering environmental consciousness. The celebration concluded with a green pledge taken by all participants, reinforcing their dedication to environmental protection.  In addition, the event included the ceremonial planting of a jackfruit tree on the campus, symbolizing a commitment to nurturing nature and enhancing the green cover of the college. The program was coordinated by Dr. Faseela P, Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, and Sana V (4th semester BSc Botany).
