Nature Field Trip at Loyola College of Social Sciences


On 10-12-2023, Bhoomithrasens club of Loyola college organized a one day nature field trip to Palaruvi forests with fourty volunteers. The primary goal of the field trip was to provide students with firsthand experience and knowledge about the local ecosystem, biodiversity, and environmental conservation efforts.

The activities includes, introduction and briefing, species identification with field guides,birdwatching,discussions on local biodiversity and conservation challenges, ecological importance of the Palaruvi region, and threats to natural habitats and mitigation strategies. A reflection and discussion session was held at the end of the field trip, allowing participants to share their experiences, insights, and observations. The importance of conservation and sustainable practices was emphasized.The nature field trip provided an enriching learning experience for all participants, offering them a deeper understanding of local ecosystems and environmental issues in the Palaruvi region.
