Kadariyan kannana yathra at GOVT HSS SOORANAD


A 3-day nature study trip was organized to Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary under the auspices of Bhumitra Sena Club. 48 volunteers and 6 teachers participated in the trip. The journey started at 6 am on the first day. Reached the camping center of the forest and wildlife department at Paina via Kuttikanam and Kattappana at 5 pmFrom 7 pm D. F. O led the class. Trekking started at 8 am on the second day. Trekking started from Painav. Enjoying the beauty of nature, we walked silently through Kananathi with wild animals and reached the top of the highest hill in the area. Stopped there and Gutallur in Tamil Nadu.Then he came down the mountain and reached a nursery belonging to the Forest Department and got to know the plants there. Trekking ended at 12.30. After lunch we were introduced to the diversity of Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary under the leadership of Anoop sir. Class ended at 4. Trekked to a garden near the camp center at 5 pm. A variety of plants have succeeded. The most beautiful day in the camp was the third day. Trekking was done to Idukki Dam and reached the dam site after two hours of trekking. Forester Akhil sir told the history of Kurathimala and its little one. After seeing the beautiful dam site and related areas, trekking ended at 12 noon. The camp ended after the 2 pm class. Certificates were then distributed to the children. Nature Camp was an unforgettable experience in the life of Bhumitra Sena volunteers. This was a trip to get to know nature directly and experience the forest and wild resources directly.
