Odonate survey along Meenachil river at Alphonsa College Pala
On January 9, 2025, the student members (2 nos) of the Bhoomithrasena Club of Alphonsa College, Pala, participated in an odonate (dragonflies and damselflies) survey organized by the Tropical Institute of Ecological Sciences (TIES) along the Meenachil River. The survey was conducted with the objective of documenting the diversity and distribution of odonate species in the riparian habitats of the region. Under the guidance of ecological experts from TIES and faculty coordinators, students were involved in systematic fieldwork, including species observation, identification, and data recording.
