Auditing of Existing Waste Management Facilities in the State Site 1 at Payyanur College
On December 24, 2024, members of the Bhoomitrasena Club conducted a visit to the Payyanur Municipality Waste Management Center. The objective of the visit was to collect data regarding the facility's operations, specifically focusing on the Material Collection Facility (MCF) and the Resource recovery facility center. During the visit, the team observed the waste management practices, infrastructure, and operational procedures. The collected data will be utilized to assess the effectiveness of the waste management system, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for enhancing the facility's performance. The visit was a valuable learning experience for the club members, providing them with hands-on knowledge of waste management practices and challenges faced by urban local bodies.
