World Forest Day Celebrations 2024 at Aligarh Muslim University Centre Malappuram
The Bhoomitrasena Club of AMU Centre Malappuram celebrated World Forest Day on 21 March 2024 at the campus. The members of the club assembled near the Medical Centre to commemorate the event with sapling plantation. The club decided to adopt one student one tree campaign in the campus and discussed the plans for establishing a Miyawaki forest at the Campus. Dr Raghul V. Rajan, Faculty in Charge of the Club welcomed the Director and members of the club to the event. In his inaugural address, Dr Faisal K. P., Director of the Centre emphasized the need for preserving trees and congratulated the Club for organizing the event. He planted a sapling of fig tree and unveiled the BMC board at the entrance of the Campus. Members of the Club organized the event with enthusiasm. Dr. Sabeena P. S., Co-Faculty in Charge of the Club proposed the vote of thanks. Twenty Seven members of the club participated in the event.
