VEGETABLE GARDEN MAINTENANCE (first section) at DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF KERALA
VEGETABLE GARDEN MAINTENANCE (Phase II)
The Bhoomithrasena members are dedicated to a commendable initiative by cultivating a vegetable garden in the Department. After regular working hours, student members diligently water and weed the garden, ensuring the healthy growth of the vegetables.
Once the vegetables are ready for harvest, both employees and students have the opportunity to purchase them. This provides fresh and organic vegetables to the students and faculties and generates revenue to sustain farming activities. The earnings from the sale of harvested vegetables are reinvested to purchase seeds, seedlings, and manure, ensuring the continuity and regularity of farming activities. Special thanks to
Our HoD, Dr. Sherly Williams, thanks you for your regular support, Anoop S, and also to Bhoomithrasena members for their dedication and efforts in cultivating the vegetable garden
