The Bhoomitrasena Club of Meenakshi Vilasom Govt HSS Peroor successfully launched its Organic Farming Initiative on November 2, 2024, promoting sustainable agriculture and eco-friendly farming practices.
The program was inaugurated by Principal Smt. Renuka V R, who emphasized the significance of organic farming in promoting healthy, chemical-free food production and fostering a connection with nature. PTA President Sri Midhilaj, MPTA President Smt. Jyothi, and Higher Secondary English Teacher Sri Babitha Babu graced the occasion and encouraged the students' participation.
As part of the initiative, students and faculty members collaboratively cultivated:
- 🍌 Bananas – Planted in designated plots, promoting fruit cultivation on the campus.
- 🥬 Vegetables – Various seasonal vegetables were sown to encourage nutritious, organic produce.
- 🥔 Tapioca – Students participated in planting tapioca, supporting root vegetable farming.
The farming activities were carried out using organic fertilizers and eco-friendly farming techniques, fostering a hands-on learning experience in sustainable agriculture.
The Bhoomitrasena Club extends its sincere gratitude to the students, teachers, and staff for their dedication and active participation in this meaningful initiative.
