A Survey on Non-Biodegradable waste management of Iritty Muncipality at Mahatma Gandhi Collge,Iritty


This audit report aims to assess the effectiveness of the current non-

biodegradable waste management system at the Material Collection Facility

(MCF) in Iritty Munciplaity- Athithattu MCF. The audit evaluates the processes in

place, identifies compliance with relevant regulations, and assesses the overall

operational performance of the facility in handling non-biodegradable waste. MCF

plays a key role in the management of municipal solid waste, specifically for the

collection, sorting, recycling, and disposal of non-biodegradable materials (e.g.,

plastics, metals, glass, and e-waste). As part of the municipal waste management

system, MCF is responsible for reducing environmental impact by ensuring

effective recycling, reuse, and disposal of non-biodegradable waste. Bhoomithrasena club volunteers initiated for this activity.
