Wild life conservation day at Payyanur College
On December 4, 2024, Payyanur College's Bhoomithrasena Club hosted a photographic contest to commemorate Wildlife Conservation Day. Twelve students participated, showcasing their lensmanship in capturing the beauty of wildlife. Dr. Ratheesh Narayanan, HOD of Botany, delivered an insightful lecture on the significance of wildlife protection, emphasizing its importance in maintaining ecological balance. Indulakshmi Menon (E BA Functional Hindi, 2nd year) secured the first prize, while Akshaya K (BSc Botany, 1st year) won the second prize. The event fostered awareness and appreciation for wildlife conservation among students.
