Clean Campus, Green Future: Malinya Muktham Nava Keralam Waste Sorting Initiative at ST. ANTONYS HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL POONJAR

As part of the Malinyamuktham Navakeralam Campaign, the Bhoomithrasena Club of our institution organized an impactful waste management drive titled "Clean Campus, Green Future" on 12th September 2024. This initiative focused on instilling environmental consciousness among students through active participation in the sorting and proper disposal of waste collected from the campus surroundings.

Students enthusiastically took part in the action program by identifying and segregating plastic waste from other types of garbage found along the roadside and campus premises. The collected plastic was carefully sorted and handed over to the Harithakarma Sena for further processing and recycling. This hands-on activity provided students with practical insight into the importance of responsible waste management, recycling, and sustainability.

The program aimed not only to clean the environment but also to cultivate eco-friendly habits among students by fostering a sense of accountability and community service. The presence and cooperation of faculty members, who guided and motivated students throughout the activity, further enhanced the effectiveness of the initiative.

Through this meaningful engagement, students learned how even small steps like waste segregation can have a large impact on creating a cleaner and greener future. The program successfully aligned with the objectives of the Malinyamuktham Navakeralam Campaign, contributing to a collective effort in reducing pollution and promoting sustainable living practices.
