Trash Hunt : Beach cleanup drive at St.Xavier's College for Women Aluva
Merilife conducted a beach cleanup drive, titled "Trash Hunt," at Fort Kochi on July 28, 2024, as
part of World Nature Conservation Day, aiming to promote environmental conservation,
community involvement, and preserve Fort Kochi's natural beauty. The event saw active
participation from Bhoomitrasena Club members, students from schools and colleges, and the
local community, who collectively collected hundreds of sacks of waste from the beach despite
challenging weather conditions, including heavy monsoon rains and strong winds. Participants
demonstrated remarkable dedication and perseverance, with some wearing raincoats and others
braving the rain without hesitation. As a token of appreciation, participants received
e-certificates, recognizing their contributions to the beach cleanup drive.
