Green Army for Sustainable Future Training Programme at ST. THOMAS COLLEGE KOZHENCHERRY
The Bhoo Mithra Sena Club has begun a new campaign to instill in young people a concern for environmental conservation and to ensure green protocol within the campus. Dr. Mathew Koshy Punnackad, a renowned environmental activist and writer and the former principal of Bishop Moore College, inaugurated the Green Army for Sustainable Future initiative on February 22, 2024, at Dr. Juhanon Mar Thoma Hall, St. Thomas College. Through an intellectual lecture furnished with suitable examples and life experiences, the chief guest explained six environmental conservation principles and motivated the youth to step into environmental activities. The interactive session made the students think and respond to various questions raised by the speaker. Principal Dr. George K. Alex chaired the meeting and shared his experiences, which made him a person of environmental concern. Faculty-in-charge Dr. Anju V. Jalaj welcomed everyone.
