One day training programme on crab and prawn taxonomy at Fatima Mata National College, Kollam
The Bhoomitrasena Club, Environmental Club, and the Postgraduate & Research Department of Zoology, Fatima Mata National College, Kollam, in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Climate Change (DoECC), and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), organized a one-day workshop on the taxonomy of crabs and prawns for the students of Fatima Mata National College. The workshop aimed to provide hands-on training in the identification, classification, and ecological significance of decapod crustaceans, particularly crabs and prawns, which play a crucial role in both marine and estuarine ecosystems.
