The program helped in creating awareness among students about how they are responsible for creating a plastic free campus. They are motivated to think about how their eating habits like snacks packaged in plastic bags can contribute to pollution. How to reduce the use of plastic bags and how their alertness can help in proper recycling of plastics. They are made aware of how plastics are not biodegradable and can persist in the environment for hundreds of years, leading to pollution in landfills, waterways, and oceans.
