Visit to Thattekad Bird Sanctuary at Alphonsa College Pala
During their visit, the club members explored various facets of the sanctuary, incuding forest area and wetland inside the forest. They toured the butterfly garden, a 30-cent area cultivated with host plants to attract a diverse range of butterfly species. This garden serves as a habitat for over 200 butterfly species, offering insights into their life cycles and ecological significance. The group also visited the sanctuary's museum and interpretation center, which provided educational exhibits on local ecosystems, bird migration patterns, and conservation efforts. They analysed water quality of the wetland.
