Field Visit to Kadalundi-Vallikkunnu Community Reserve at PSMO College, Tirurangadi
BMC PSMO College, in association with the Department of English, PSMO College, organized a field visit to Kadalundi - Vallikkunnu Community Reserve on 21-02-2025. 27 students and three teachers attended the field visit. The main objective of the field visit was to help the students know more about the mangrove eco system and the rich biodiversity of Kadalundi bird sanctuary. A boating through the mangrove-lined waterways of Kadalundi estuary was conducted as part of the programme. The boating provided the students a good field experience enriching them with the knowledge the biodiversity Kadlundi, including the eight species of mangrove forests found in the reserve, countless species of migratory and native birds and other animal found in the reserve including a group of smooth coated oaters. After the boating the students had a session on the Biodiversity and Conservation Significance of Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary by Mr. Kabeerali P, FIC BMC PSMO College.
