Photography Contest - Wildlife Week Celebrations at EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty
The Bhoomithrasena Club of EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty successfully organized a Wildlife Photography Contest as part of Wildlife Week celebrations from 26 September 2024 to 06 October 2024. The programme was conducted with the aim of creating awareness among students about wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and the importance of protecting natural habitats through creative expression.
A total of 15 students actively participated in the contest. The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their photography skills while highlighting the beauty and significance of wildlife and nature. Participants submitted photographs depicting wildlife, birds, insects, and natural ecosystems, reflecting their understanding and concern for environmental conservation.
The contest encouraged students to observe nature closely and appreciate the diversity of flora and fauna. It also emphasized ethical wildlife photography practices, such as avoiding disturbance to animals and respecting natural habitats. The photographs were evaluated based on creativity, relevance to the theme, clarity, and conservation message.
The Wildlife Photography Contest generated enthusiasm and positive response among students. It helped enhance environmental awareness, creativity, and sensitivity towards wildlife conservation.
