Exploring the indigenous rice plant varieties at St. Mary's College, Thrissur
The Bhoomithrasena club conducted a field exposure study to kole wetlnads of Shornur on 2/12/2024 on the theme “Explore the Indigenous rice varieties of Kerala” to promote Indian Knowledge system. The main aim of the expedition was to promote indigenous over exotic. A total of 14 students participated in the programme. Different wild type rice varieties, various methods of organic farming were introduced to students during the session.
