E-Waste Collection Drive at Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam
The Bhoomithrasena Club, Nature Club, and Energy Club jointly organized an E-Waste Collection Drive on 13 March 2025 to promote environmental awareness and responsible disposal of electronic waste. The drive received an enthusiastic response from the staff of our college as well as individuals from outside the campus. A significant amount of e-waste, including old mobile phones, chargers, batteries, laptops, and other electronic items, was collected. The primary objective of the initiative was to encourage proper disposal and recycling of e-waste to prevent environmental hazards. The collected waste will be handed over to an authorized e-waste recycling unit for safe disposal. The event successfully raised awareness about the harmful effects of improper e-waste disposal and the importance of recycling electronic items. The active participation of staff and external contributors made the drive a great success.
