CALYPSO – Photography Competition at Kuriakose Gregorios College
As part of the World Wetland Day 2025 celebrations, the Post Graduate Department of Zoology, Bhoomitrasena and Nature Club of Kuriakose Gregorios College, Pampady, jointly organized an intercollegiate photography competition titled CALYPSO. The event aimed to raise awareness about the significance of wetlands and inspire young minds to observe and capture the beauty and ecological importance of these unique ecosystems. The competition drew enthusiastic participation from students representing various colleges across the state. Participants were encouraged to submit their best photographic representations of wetlands to a designated email address before the submission deadline of 4th February 2025. The overwhelming response highlighted the growing interest among youth in environmental conservation and nature-based storytelling through photography. Entries were judged based on creativity, relevance to the theme, technical excellence, and overall impact. The winners were awarded exciting cash prizes, recognizing their talent and commitment to environmental awareness.
