Auditing of Existing Waste Management Facilities in Tirurangadi Municipaliity at PSMO College, Tirurangadi
As part of the Auditing of Existing Waste Management Facilities in the State, a collaborated initiative of Directorate of Environment and Climate Change (DoECC), Malinya Muktham Navakeralam Campaign Secretariat, Local Self Government Department and Government of Kerala, Bhoo Mithra Sena Club, PSMO College was assigned with the task of auditing the waste management facilities under Tirurnagadi Municipality at Kottuvalakkad MCF, Venchali. As the first step, the FIC of BMC PSMO College attended an orientation meeting on 4-12-2024 which was hosted by DoECC for providing instructions on conducting the auditing.
Following the instructions received from DoECC, BMC PSMO College contacted the District Coordinator of Shuchitwa Mission and through him approached the Municipal Secretary of Tirurangadi. The municipal secretary made arrangements for doing the auditing. The FIC and the volunteers of BMC PSMO College, accompanied by Mr. Suresh AP, Senior Public Health Inspector, visited the MCF at Venchali on 10th January 2025. The Volunteers of BMC PSMO College completed the auditing with the help of the Senior Public Health Inspector and the Haritha Karma Sena workers. The audit report was duly submitted to DoECC.
