Year long Activity: Dry day Observation at St.Xavier's College for Women Aluva
On August 9, 2025, our college organized the Mosquito Dry Day event, aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of mosquitoes and promoting measures to reduce their breeding. The initiative was met with overwhelming support from students across various departments, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in addressing public health issues. It was decided that Mosquito Dry Day would be conducted on a weekly basis, every Friday. Each week, a different department will be assigned the responsibility of organizing and executing the event, ensuring continuous awareness and involvement of the entire campus community. The Mosquito Dry Day initiative, which began as a one-time event on August 9, 2025, had evolved into a weekly campus-wide effort to combat mosquito-borne diseases.
